The National Academy of Beauty Arts Esthetics program is a complete advanced course in the scientific methods of skin care and beauty. The Esthetics Institute teaches and empowers through the use of real world teaching skills together with the latest skin care advances and techniques.

Students learn to analyze and treat various skin problems and conditions. They become skilled with make-up techniques, hair removal procedures and massage. Aromatherapy, body wraps, body treatments, reflexology, microdermabrasion and cellulite treatments are part of the curriculum.

Also taught are the varied business practices of the skin care profession. The Institute emphasizes communication and relationship management skills needed to work with guests. Learning that understanding their guests’ needs and desires is imperative to helping guests achieve their desired results.

Our instructors possess outstanding intuitive hands-on teaching abilities coupled with professional skills in a real world environment. Ms. Janet Archambault brings more than 30 years in education and professional salon and spa management to the Esthetics Institute.

The Institute boasts a new State of the Art facility that truly is a Real World Spa Experience. You will learn in “a professional spa environment” assisting clients in the Institutes Guest Program. Students learn to Book Appointments with the latest Spa Software and are taught the skills required to communicate with guests, understanding their needs and desires.

Services and procedures are performed in private treatment rooms equipped with all the latest Skin Care Technologies. After treatments, students consult with their guest on procedures and products they can use at home to keep their skin clean, fresh and healthy.

A bright retail sales area features exceptional skin care products. This unique retail model enhances the
Institute's teaching abilities. In the Retail Lab students gain an understanding of the art and science of selling.

National Academy of Beauty Arts is a nationally recognized school of Cosmetology and Esthetics. It is accredited by the well-respected National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS) and is recognized nationally by the United States Department of Education, as well as the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology.



What this means to you, is the ability to qualify for programs that maintain high standards only nationally accredited schools qualify for.

National Academy is a member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) and the Missouri Association of Cosmetology Schools (MACS).
Because of our high teaching standards, National Academy of Beauty Arts is approved to participate with the Pell Grant and Student Loan Programs by the U.S. Department of Education, for those who qualify.


National Academy has experienced financial aid counselors that work with you to develop a personalized plan that utilizes all available resources.

National Academy of Beauty Arts is approved by various other programs, including Veterans Educational Programs, Missouri Employment Training Programs and Vocational Rehabilitation.
National Academy of Beauty Arts is a relationship business. We maintain excellent relationships with many of St. Louis leading spas and salons. We are called weekly in search of new employees, the demand is high. Our graduating students are much sought after.

National Academy is locally owned and has been preparing and educating students since 1961. Many of St. Louis leading salon owners advise us and participate in our ongoing educational lecture program.

The Spa and Esthetic industry in North America is experiencing tremendous growth. According to the ISPA 2004 Spa Industry Study it was estimated that there were approximately 5,100 individual spas in the U.S. The spa industry employed an estimated 30,000 professionals in 2005. Annual salaries for full time Estheticians can be somewhere between $30,000 and $50,000, the opportunities are endless.

Experienced licensed Estheticians can earn up to $70,000 per year and more. Employment opportunities for Estheticians are expected to grow faster than average for all occupations. It is one of the
nation's fastest growing and desirable jobs, according to “Money” magazine.

The driving force behind the tremendous growth is rising consumer demand. Primarily the aging “Baby Boomers,” are driving this growth. The Boomers are spending disposable incomes preserving a youthful appearance and preventing premature aging. As a result, Esthetics is a profession that is growing rapidly – and skilled, reliable, well-educated Professional Estheticians are in high demand.

Today’s market demands a more creative, well-trained, motivated and well-rounded Professional Esthetician who has the ability to educate and empower clients. Esthetics has expanded and evolved into a sophisticated and well-respected growth profession with a variety of specializations.
