National Academy of Beauty Arts awards advanced diplomas in cosmetology. For those wishing to specialize in an area, advanced diplomas are awarded in hair cutting, hair styling, skin care and makeup, manicuring and nail sculpture, permanent waving, and hair coloring. In these specialized areas, students receive additional creative coaching with hands-on training and personalized instruction.

Each graduating student compiles a professional portfolio showcasing different styles and makeovers on models of their choice.
